Putting together a "Kids on Bikes" RPG campaign

Hello, all, First a disclaimer: There is no official sponsorship or endorsement from Drabblecast - express or implied - for this little venture. That said, the core of this RPG group (myself as GM and two player characters) are on the Drabblecast staff, so there's a pretty good chance our sensibilit...

+1 on the art. Didn't register the first time the button eyes have up and down arrows.

Re: Drabblecast 397 - Fruit and Words

To be fair to Norm, if you think there's too much music and sfx, it's most likely one I produced. I love going whole-hog cinematic, and while Norm has suggested tweaks to emphasis from time to time... it does seem to be what he's wanting, so there probably will be ones like this regularly for a whil...

Re: Drabblecast 390 - I Will Remain

Peek behind the curtain: This is actually one I completed for Norm before the unplanned hiatus and ended up in limbo, so I was so pleased to have this one return with the relaunch. Given this, I didn't actually have the mic I purchased more recently for homegrown sfx. (For that, check out One in Fou...

Re: Drabblecast 383 - recording quality?

Hi, I'll speak to this, as the one who produced "Sun, Moon, Cat, Man." I felt, admittedly, a little guilty about ruining a significant portion of the perfect-quality audio that Veronica sent to me. I made an artistic choice, and my apologies if it was more than you or others were willing to accept. ...

Re: Drabblecast 381 – Unathi Battles The Black Hairballs

Just one little favor to ask from Farseeker: Can we at least listen to the whole damn episode before posting something this critical? I'm trying not to be too defensive, but this does feel like you ate the appetizer, didn't care for it, sent it back, and demanded a refund for the whole filet mignon ...

Re: Drabblecast 370 - The Little Mermaid of Innsmouth

I think some valid critiques, Barto. On the motivation change, it did seem that it was necessary to read into the story quite a bit for the switch to make sense. I think much of the change can be attributed to the sudden revelation of the xenophobia of the male outsider. That, I think, gave our prot...

Re: ??what's up?

Hey, y'all, Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up that I've just been in contact with Norm via text message. With his blessing, letting you know that he's alive and doing fine. He's just been having "the most insane month of my life" (direct quote). To that end, the Drabble is on a bit of a ...

I'm concerned as well... you're not the only one.
I actually went to Google and typed in "Norm Sherman obituary" and various permutations thereof, just to try to eliminate that possibility...

Re: Drabblecast 360 - Trifecta: Locked Boxes

Thanks so much for these replies. These stories were a blast to put together, so I'm glad to hear people enjoyed listening to them as well. A couple fun notes on the production, for any who care: -The egg cracking effect was just a regular chicken egg, but pitched down about an octave and with a bit...

Thanks, everyone, for the lovely comments. Glad that folks were picking up some of what I was trying to lay down with the production. :)
Hope to be able to do another one soon for y'all!

Re: Drabblecast 356 - An Exodus of Wings

That's great! Thanks, Algernon.

I don't currently have a good website to direct anyone to. Both Tren and Ibba worked for me in my StarShipSofa days, so if they do have a website to promote, it would be linked there wherever their name appears.

Re: Drabblecast 356 - An Exodus of Wings

Hi, Desmond, This is Adam Pracht, the guest producer for this episode. The female narrator in part 3 was Ibba Armancas. She does fantastic work and was even gracious enough to provide several of the sound effects in part one (namely, the laugh from the shower and the "tense breathing" you might have...

It was inevitable for phones to install in our heads.
If only we'd figured out the roaming settings sooner.
So many lost.

Made me laugh.
Only problem is this actually assumes the legislators are present in the chamber. Most the zombies would get most days are the one speaking, some poor stenographer, and the presiding officer (correct term?)

love it.
I have a question on it, though... Is it actually keeping him from overeating? While he is sobbing, it doesn't seem to actually be stopping him from eating junk food. Or am I overreading?
Is it only junk food? Does broccoli also plead for its life?
