Re: Drabblecast Director’s cut

In the discussion about Charlie the Purple Giraffe, the composer Carl Stalling is mentioned. I suspect that many people have never heard of him. To most people his name is obscure but his work is anything but. That is the soundtrack of my youth (and my own internal soundtrack for life)!!! I'm consi...

A Bump for a Drabbleclassic!

With it being the week of Halloween, I think it is a perfect time to resurrect one of the all time best Drabbleclassics...#136 - The Great Old Pumpkin. This is an incredible story and wonderful reading by Norm! And how can you go wrong with a story that blends the styles of the two most terrifying h...

Bump for this weeks Drabbleclassic

I just thought I would send a push for this. With it being Halloween week, I thought it would be fun to revisit Drabblecast 136 - The Great Old Pumpkin. It's one of my all-time favorites, and a GREAT reading by Norm. And how can you go wrong when you combine the two most terrifying names in horror f...

Blood Sacrifice

He raises his arms to the sky and presents the blade to the Sun. The muttering of sacred words drones on. This time the gods will answer the prayers, they must, our people depend on it. The first two sacrifices, their remains decaying in the humid summer heat, must not have been pure. Their prayers...

Re: Post your Twitfic Twabbles Here! (General Content)

Here is one that I've been trying to shape for weeks, but it's still not quite what I wanted... He grinned at the new pain as Deano sang thru his head…“When you swim in the sea and an eel bites your knee, that’s a moray!” Pick this one for the weekly winner so we can get Norm to do his Dean Martin i...

Reptile Death Match: Snake Devours Crocodile (Video)

Does this fall under Mega Beast Deathmatch fodder or just Weird F'ing news? Either way, I'm pretty sure this belongs somewhere on the Drabble Cast.

Re: Drabblecast 148 - The Last Great Clown Hunt

I was jones'en for some Drabble, and had to go back and re-listen to this old classic. It defiantly strikes some chords with me, being half Blackfoot, but also having always dreamed of going to the Ringling Bros. Clown College. I think it is an odd statement about who you are, when out of all of the...

Re: Write a Themed Drabble!

Hey folks, This section is an attempt to give you Drabblers a vague idea of upcoming story themes so you can craft your 100 word stories with an idea or subject in mind. Category: Aliens In March we feature all stories about aliens! I would like to nominate my Drabble "The Exam" for this... since i...

Chisel

Not very good, but I felt like writing something sooooo... This is madness, like having your mind wrapped in a damp towel on a, muggy summer day. I’m unable to breathe, to summon any memory of comfort that may ever have existed, or to acknowledge the horror in the peripherals of your vision. My hand...

The lyrics to meditation music are actually bits of the Necronomican. Shuffle is eventually going to get them in order. Awesome! Given enough time, a hypothetical chimpanzee typing at random would, as part of its output, almost surely produce one of Shakespeare's plays. And if given enough time, a ...

I never got the Stalking Merit Badge, but I did get some certificate for stalking...or maybe it was a subpoena, I keep getting those two confused. Oh, and as for the Cub Scouts not having Merit Badges, they USED to, but they got rid of them when I told them "Badges?! We don't need no stinking badges!"

Despite his grim reputation, Steve had the heart of a small child. He kept it in a jar on his desk. You bastard! You sniped an idea I had in my reserve pile... She had a lovely temperament and a pure heart. Which she kept in a jar. That's why I loved her dearly, but safely from afar. Admit it, you'...
