Harvey

“We're going to get you all set up and the doctor will be in in just a moment.” “We? Do you have a mouse in your pocket?” the man on the exam table gave a self-satisfied grin because he used his favorite 'dad joke'. The nurse replied with a curt smile and closed the door. She took a few paces down t...

When he saw no one could ever write better twabbles he set himself on fire. Immolation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Re: Mushroom Hunting and the Angler Pine

thank you, I'm glad you liked it. I must say though, that if he had been an actual dog I would have described him as such. If you read the other Chance and Bob stories you'll see that they often pretend to be things. I think the idea of pretending to be something so hard that you don't break charact...

Mushroom Hunting and the Angler Pine

A double barrel shotgun was slung over Chance's arm, while Bob wore floppy ears and ran on all fours. The boys were mushroom hunting again. “Herp, herp!” barked Bob excitedly as they trod through the forested hills. . . . “Ho there!” called out a voice from above. Chance looked up, surprised. “Derp?...

volume

maybe this question is a bit delayed because I've been listening for, like, years, but is the volume of the podcast kinda low, even compared to other podcasts? I have to turn the volume to 100% but it's still hard to hear sometimes. I need Norm's voice booming from my 'puter!

Abra Cadaver!

James the Obscure's performance had gone very well that night. The audience gasped and oohed with delight. “Now, ladies and gentlemen, a more daring stunt than ever attempted before!” Bambi and Bunny, (barely) covered in glitter, bound him in chains and lowered him into the viper pit. Dozens of serp...

Chance and Probability Bob at Tiananmen Square

“Clankity clank I'm a tank!” declared Chance. Bob stood opposite him, motionless. They were playing Tiananmen Square again. With a mighty blast of air, a saucer descended to hover just over their heads. A noble, yet strange looking being emerged from a seamless aperture in the craft and with a voice...

Sock Market Addiction

I bought my first toe socks on Ebay three years ago. It was a rush like I'd never felt before. I stole the socks for just twelve cents each, and free shipping! I couldn't believe how easy it was. Eventually, I started buying socks I didn't need. I had thousands. Then it hit me. I too could sell a fe...
