Ask me Anything(?)

“Ask Me Anything(?)” A Drabble by Steven Dana Lidster —— A Riddle roams the streets of every city, a knife held ready in its grip. It appears at random and without notice to ask a Question. An Answer shadows the Riddle along the rooftops or from the darkened alleys, a sniper rifle at the ready. A Ri...

Spaced Time

Tamitha Time and Sperling Space were taking a beer break in the Contiuum Lounge of the Mobius Grand Hotel, Resort, and Cosmic Uncertainty Casino. The caps popped off with a refreshing Little Bang. The pair sat and watched the condensed gas Sublime away into freedom. After a clink of the two chilled ...

Hostel Oregonia

“Hostel Oregonia” I’m an idea 2000 years or so in the making... First we had to develop and perfect record keeping, language, industry, technologies of all sorts Then we got the internet up and running Since then, people have been uploading themselves through social media unaware, with every post, e...

Re: Sooooo...is the Drabblecast dead..?

Whatever it's status I just wanted to drop by and thank Norm and the crew for all the joy and strange pleasure they put out into the world for so long. It really was a great ride, and if it comes back that would be wonderful. And if not, to everything there is a season. Turn, turn, turn biotches. Pe...

Wow, a guy takes a vacation and comes back to different house than the one he left...

Seriously, it looks great. Good job to all involved in the project.

Re: Classics 14 (EP 43) - Jelly Park

Well, it's about time! To anyone relatively new to Drabblecast who hasn't listened to the whole library, this is the episode to inspire you to do so in 2015. One of the best. But reading the comments also makes me want to raise a glass to the many friends, like Tweedy, Phillipa, and Ayn Savoy who I...

Seemed right to start with a twabble. Here goes nothing:

I've cooked a pair of eyes to dine on.
My meal smells particularly good tonight.
Sadly, I cannot seem to find my utensils.

Any thoughts...?
Welcome to the DC forums.

Hope that dinner is finger-lickin good.

Re: Broken Promise (Halloween)

Miss Grimsley was an old sockpuppet Drabblecast grammarian whose spirit was conjured up originally by ROU Killing Time's overuse and abuse of gerunds. A previous moderator, who long since retired to spend some time reacquainting himself with his family, banned sock puppets from the forums, and so G...

Other than carrying a theme forward, this one is pretty much just the result of being a dog owner in Portland.

It's always raining on the planet Sirius K9. It's so pervasive that you can almost not notice the wet-dog smell. Almost.

Re: Grief is a Winding Road; Regret, an Endless Labyrinth

I'd change one line (the first "imagines") to "he hears their screams" to avoid the double imagine use. That's a 103 word drabble. I think that he really meant to convey a continuation of one thought across two sentences. In which case the use of two of the same word is most appropriate. Oh I quite...
