Re: Drabblecast 363 - The Totals

Apparently I don't go on this forum enough - fun to hear people's reactions to this show! I'm with Strawman - a loyal listener to the Drabblecast - and - even as producer of the piece - I would say this is not 'representative' of the show, though it certainly fits it. I dunno, I'm a purist, anything...

Re: Drabblecast 338 - The Crevasse

Hi All - Fred, who produced this show for the Drabblecast, just wanted to say to you all how much I'm blushing over all the nice comments on the sound embellishments - I really appreciate it. To Strawman - your critique is fair, myself and the narrator (who helped - lightly - adapt the script) were ...

Re: Post apocalyptic audio drama podcast

@Strawman - actually! It's set in Maine... heh. We have freaks and pigs and whatnot here, too. I'm too frightened to imagine what would happen in the South during the end of days.

Post apocalyptic audio drama podcast

Hey all, OK, I posted about this last March when the show first came out, but there is a LOT more to listen to now. The show is The Cleansed - a free post apocalyptic audio drama set in a world after oil runs out. There are man-eating pigs, survivalists cruising around on home-brew biodiesel, gun-to...

Post Apocalyptic Audio Drama

For those of you who are pretty sure that we don't need asteroids, aliens, God or even a virulent superplague to wipe out our civilization (as interesting as these things might be) I have a new post-apocalyptic podcast for you... "The Cleansed" posits a complete grid collapse following the drying up...

Bloodthirsty

Phoebe crashed down on the feeder, heart thundering in his chest, the hot pistons of fear spurring him on. Each dash was life and death, for behind him was a beast that killed for the sport of it. He had seen the murderer take babies from their mothers, devouring their heads and leaving the bodies t...

Re: Drabblecast 128- The End of the Universe by Eugie Foster

Spectacular production value here, makes me think Norm should get into professional audiobook recording (um... but please don't do that). That said, being a tremendous fan of audio drama, I was expecting to enjoy the story more than I did. The concept was kind of fun but I didn't find myself caring ...

Genetically Modified Monkeys May Lead to the Master Race

It's not often that NPR shares something that would be Drabble-worthy, but here you go. Geneticists worry that manipulating genes in monkeys will lead us to creating super-humans... But what will we do with all of the super-monkeys?

Radio Drama Revival

Just stumbled across the Drabblecast... Wow! What I've been missing out on... FWIW, I'm a writer who's been adapting my own short stories as fully produced dramas, the work I've made to date you can hear at www.finalrune.com . I also make a weekly podcast called Radio Drama Revival , which I feel wi...
