Drabblecast 381 – Unathi Battles The Black Hairballs
Huh? Whazzup wit dis? IMO this story had pretty much nothing going right for it. The recording quality was awful. Distorted and echo-y. As for the narration itself, the style grated. The narrator seemed to be stuck doing some sort of impression of macho tough guy telling of exploits of a combat game...

True love
“I will love you til the day I die,” he had sworn to her.
“True,” she thought, with an uncaring glance at his bloody corpse.

Wow.
Horror usually isn't my thing, but this was done so well... The descriptions were so evocative, felt like I was there.
And wanting to get the fuck out.

Re: Life is a Joke
We live on a dead end street with only one connection, which is one-way (from our street, turning left) . Whenever anyone visiting our house for the first time leaves, we advise them on how to return to the parallel main street that is one block away to the right. "Remember: Two wrongs don't make a ...

Do you have the time?
Time banking – depositing subjective time when not needed, to be withdrawn and applied when needed – brought about the most extensive societal changes since the Industrial Revolution and the Internet, especially once interchange protocols facilitated transfers between individuals. A new class struct...

Does it count?
Clark's avatar slipped into the virtual control room . Quickly, he changed the security key to prevent other entries. After months of working his way up through each security level, each logarithmically more difficult than the previous, he had reached Level One. He was in control. Yet as he approach...

For quality purposes, your call may be recorded
Customer Service, how can I help you? Yes...? Let me see... I'm so sorry. That's out of warranty. “Lifetime” is defined as the average life expectancy of a star of that size and composition. Your star is actually several hundred million years beyond its normal life. I can offer you resettlement righ...

Re: Drabblecast 248 - The Cockroach Hat
What the bloody hell was that? Other than the "Mongolian deathworm", this was the only Drabblecast story that I can recalling wanting desperately to stop listening to. Again and again I felt annoyed enough to consider just stopping the playback, and when the end finally came I breathed "Thank God". ...

Re: Drabblecast 245 – A Nice Jewish Golem
Eh. For this we should be amused? The plot, such as it was, held no surprises. The writer ("not a Jewish mother, but was raised by one") maybe needs to work out her anger with...

Big grin. Love it. Took me completely by surprise and leaves me, as it no doubt did the protagonist, agonizingly wondering.
