Re: Drabblecast 289 – The Cold Equations
I think it's natural, for the reader/listener to grasp at straws and try to figure out solutions and loopholes to save the girl. I wondered as well, surely there must be some expendable equipment/clothes laying around equaling 110 lbs that could be chucked out the ship to save her. I listened to the...

Re: Drabblecast 288 – Bayou Witch
The setting was very well done in this. Rich lovely imagery without being overwrought. The fact that the boy was a werewolf didn't really make sense to me though, I don't see how it lended anything to the story. Maybe a commentary on transformation? Or was it just because she had a brain tumor/ seei...

Re: Drabblecast 287 – Sweetie
That was fun and simple, reminiscent of the Drabblecast stories of yester-yore. I liked how the author hinted at traveling the "old country" and other aspects of Sweetie and the narrator's relationship without going into much detail. We aren't sure what their natures are, but they are seemingly time...

Re: NORMemes!
I died when I read these this morning.
Those poor girls look sheepishly disquieted. Dusty looks attuned (resigned?) to Norm's puerile prattling. Norm looks way cuter than I had expected.

Re: Drabblecast 262 – My True Lovecraft Gave To Me
Intro, as stated by others, was top-shelf Norm hilarity. "Boo-humbug!" Great Christmas Carol/Halloween mashup, Phantom Claus would be proud. Weird hearing Kendall somewhere other than the MegaBeast deathmatch podcast. Not so weird hearing him accuse Norm of frequent and unwary ghost handjobs. One of...

Re: Drabblecast 265 - Pop Quiz
Awesome. I loved this story. I actually wasn't waiting for a plot twist, I thought things were going to go in a more deep-statement-about-war-and-abu ghraib kinda direction. How we're all essentially made up of countless different alien colonies, confounding our current instances of tribal con...

I saw them at the Art 4 Cash Poor fest a couple months ago, great show. Weird hearing them without Norm's voice though

How could Super-Dreadnaughtilus win, he's a floating hydrogen balloon. One missile and kaboom!

Re: Drabblecast 249 – Jimmy’s Roadside Cafe
Not gonna lie, I definitely had tears down my face by the end of this one. I felt like it was a bit much with the emotional heavy-handedness, at times verging on tacky, but it still totally got to me. The scene where they bury the children, followed by Margaret dying watching the sun reflect off win...

Norm Sherman versus... ?
Norm Sherman is the best song writer that ever lived. There I said it! I found this podcast after a friend passed a link to Radioactive Runaways and I immediately bought his CD anddownloaded every other song by Norm in the archives. And I really do think that Norm may be the wittiest, best song writ...

Re: Drabblecast 164- The Observer by Kristine Kathryn Rusch
The rap about Utah at the end made me laugh so hard I had to pull off the road. The stories on this podcast are second to none and yes the production is phenomenal, but Norm Sherman is what makes me excited to see this show downloading each week.
