Re: MB3 - R4 - Chimpanfreak vs Octdolphig vs Shockodile

I would give up one of my arms to give that woman her face back -- no hesitations. THat's terrible.

On a lighter note, let's go with Shockodile as the winner of this round. SHE (I think it's a female) has just wicked-scary abilities. And she's ginormous.

Shockodile FTW.

Thanks for the compliments on the origins, fellas. I honestly thought any culture screwed up enough to make OctDolphig would be, uh -- unusual.

Re: MB3 - R3 - Gargantula vs Velasquez vs Unicorpse

NOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, this result is acceptable. I was rooting for and voting for Gargantula, but the freakin' fun factor of a penguin with an AK-47 is nothing to be disappointed with :)

Re: MB3 - R3 - Gargantula vs Velasquez vs Unicorpse

Okay -- so let me ask a particular -- exactly how long does it take Uni to reform? If it's a decent time, then the Penguin will just set napalm and toss the horn into it until it disintegrates. One thing to think about: I see Gargantula taking out Velasquez and getting badly wounded, but then nettin...

Re: MB3 - R2 - Beelzebounce vs Lionic vs Terrorpin

As a standing member of the Cult of Lucifoul -- may his dark wisdom ever probe the depths of our corrupted souls -- I can tell you that Balfolack didn't choose his host without the kind of careful consideration an eon in the pit could have produced. He'll know how to use the 'roo to do the dew, foo'...

Re: Round I: Skirmish (Discussion)

As did I, yet again. Sluggy and Terrorpin are my two faves at the moment. Other competitors I like are Gargantula, Lionic and Shockodile.

Ah, Sluggy and Terrorpin are still near the bottom, though doing a little better. Death to Gelfling.

Re: Round I: Skirmish (Discussion)

Okay, so I've been checking this on a regular basis, and voting every day. I want to join in expressing my shock and awe(tm) along with Norm over the absence of Terrorpin and Slugfest from the cut so far. Velasquez is just above yipping dog in terms of endurance. Seriously. Someone catches him and h...

Re: Drabblecast 131- Storm Comes A' Callin’ by Jeremiah Tolbert

I couldn't get into this one. And as much as I normally love Norm's narration, this time. It. Seemed. Too. Slow. But I think this is more due to trying to listen to this piece while working through the filter of administering a cantankerous MS SQL instance. So the author (and narrator) definitely sh...

Re: Round I: Skirmish (Discussion)

Okay, so yesterday I voted based on my subjective ranking of who was the most dangerous competitor. Today, I voted based on originality and "wow" factor. This weekend, I believe I will vote on raw capability with the stats included. My early analysis is I'm still right in my assumption about Slugfes...

Re: Round I: Skirmish (Discussion)

Woohoo. While I'm sad the battle brackets are in three-packs as opposed to four, starting with 18 competitors for the skirmish = more blood overall. I like it.

Re: Round I: Skirmish (Video Podcast)

In evaluating which lines would make good film tags based on the corresponding video quotes, this one stuck out:

"Giant spiders never run out of bullets."

In Theaters Summer 2012. Starring Vin Diesel, and Roseanne Bar as Gargantula.

Re: Politico Beasts - Round 3 (The Finals)

I'm having a really hard time being objective about this match because of my strong feelings about the real people the beasts are based on. (I will leave it to my readers to guess of which party I approve or disapprove of; tough call, eh?) I personally stick with option three (in my case) -- both p...
