I loved this story when I heard it on Pseudopod, and it's great to see if get its due here as well. Michael is a solid writer. One of the things I enjoyed about the tale is the little bits of humanity that poke through all that ugly. Just a glimpse of some of that childhood innocence by the Dead Boy...

I see your barrel-eyed fish, and I raise you giant isopod.

Wonder if he's good with butter.

Crap. This is what I get for being out for surgery -- couldn't nominate the tales I thought should be here :?

Just wanted to thank the two nods people gave in the other thread for my work. It's much appreciated.

When does voting close?

That's how this place works. There are lots of other audio fiction podcasts out there, but in the case of my own fiction I've learned to try for the laid-back ones with excellent production values. I find excellence chases humility. I can say that now, after I've had my work published here twice, so...

Yeah, I saw that a few days ago. Truly epic.

In this day and age, they could easily get arrested. Remember the hijinks over the Mooninite adverts for Aqua Teen Hunger Force?

I'd hate to see EP hit up for rough times. Eley is an all-around decent guy, and he's done so much for genre fiction in general.

So basically, I love playing on the Wii. I haven't used a console this much since I retired my old, beloved SNES. In a nutshell, you should probably play: Endless Ocean (which, I might add, lets you swim with the Giant Squid) Super Mario Galaxy Super Smash Brothers Mario Kart Rock Band (I'm told) Le...

Bo, I don't know how far along ye are, but the image of the son trying to chase the lightning with his grandad from one of the drabbles was something I always liked.

My compliments to the author, and to DC -- this tale was awesome, and I for one was surprised by the ending. I look a good bit of dark humor, especially with a protagonist we can kind of relate too.

This one didn't work for me. Sorry -- I really, really wanted to like it, but I have a rough time with stories that move at a pace roughly equivalent to a three-toed sloth. I think if you had simply taken two college professors harping on philosophy and set that to sound effects and music, it would ...

I have but one phrase that describes the Presidential Election this year, and it's the same they used for AVP: "Whoever wins, we lose." If they borrow anything from Mega Beasts, it should be the inclusion of chainsaws, parasitic larvae, and liquid nitrogen. Now there's some good numbers for your deb...

I have no complaints or feedback as long as Lucifoul wins.

If he doesn't, all will die. And isn't that the great spirit of this competition that's brought us all together? *sniff*

Yeooow. Hellaphant is nothing more than a dumb beast, but he does have some real momentum once he gets going, like any elephant with a chainsaw for a trunk. I believe he just scooted into first, or at the very least a very close fight with Lucifoul, aka our dark lord of secrets, our harvester of fea...

Dude, Ted Bundy was put up for federal charges, and the guy never stopped smiling and posing for the camera the entire time. You sure you don't think Lucifoul can handle the stress?

This sounds like anti-American propoganda to me.
