Wait, not even Escapepod has a best story or is nominated for best mag? Something's fishy. I like Variant Frequencies ok, but it pales compared to EP and DC of course, which both put out twice as much content as VF (weekly rather than biweekly). I'd have to disagree with JCGillespie, it doesn't look...

Nice! Is it me or does the sound seem somewhat distorted? I compared it to my downloaded version and there seems to be a noticeable difference in quality.

Definitely see how this episode didn't do it for some people. I was not one of those people however. This was going for a certain kind of juvenile humor akin to the super animal deathmatch podcast, and if that's not your style, no shame in that. I could see how they all related to a sin ("penis envy...

I loved the story, will post more on that later. Just wanted to say that the political clip samples at the end of the show with MONSTER JELLYFISH and MUTANT SEA TURTLES were HILARIOUS!!

I hope people don't turn their ipods off thinking the show is over and miss those, they are so great.

I had my doubts about this one after the warning, but went on faith with the editors and outstanding DC record so far. After the first few minutes of the story (which followed hilarious announcement of scam spam comp and a wonderful drabble) I was really having doubts-- would she explode with his al...

You see, Theo, It's a fun way to start a story: "I woke up this morning knowing everything". You almost inevitably set yourself up for some sort of science holes or nitpicks this way, and a few were here as well, but it didn't distract me from the story, which I thought was great. Ultimately, yah, i...

Yah, I really liked the Drabble and the main feature. That opening line for Clown Eggs for absolutely priceless. I find it hard to say "one of my favorites" for this podcast now, because the stories are all so different and weird. Mr. Tweedy makes good points why this isn't per say a good "story"......

I played the song at work and got some good laughs. The first half of the song was brilliant. The second half trailed off a bit, which means it got down to the level of standard radio rap. . Ah man, I disagree, the whole taking Russia's older sister Debbie to Golden Corral and making her pay was hy...

I agree that Garfield sucks, but you could write volumes of names of absolute rubbish that somehow become icons of popular culture in all mediums, music, film, literature. Just the way it is. And yes, this story might have set a new bar for DC's renowned production standards. Just perfect. Predictab...

A Norm-troll??? :( Well, who ever said trolls are bad...;) i'll bet norm likes it that one of his listeners has a little crush on him.. can't a guy get some credit from a lovely female listener? :-D Good point. After listening to the Super Animal Deathmatch I was convinced someone named Norma Sherm...

Wow, I've gotta say, Drabblecast has only been getting better and better. This year we've had a really strong run of stories, 2 Bbardles in one month, a couple fun Bsides stories... this week's story (and episode-- the dolphin stuff made me almost pull over I was laughing so hard) was right in line....

Wonderful story...very sad, if you can relate. Greg hits grief/ feeling of loss on the head-- and oddly, Norma- who I assume we all thought to be a stalker/Norm-troll actually seems to come across as genuine too. :-) - once i lost someone who was the closest person to me in my life and searched for ...

Loved all 3 stories, especially thought the music was done particularly tasteful this week. The impressionistic Debussy fit perfect with a story about colors and the loss thereof. All 3 stories were about societies/groups of people reacting to a big external event in absurd ways. Thought it was a gr...

I agree with Ray, I think I've heard the bulk of the episodes from most of the other story podcasts (except Podcastle) and of them all this was hands down the best production of the best story, IMO. The only other ones that come close are also past DC episodes. Then you hear the song, which is not o...

Yah, the fawn voice was great. I just listened to "The She-Wolf" past episode and Norm goes crazy on the old-fart British guy voices there. Hilarious.

I thought this story ended a little abrupt. I was really enjoying it and was then kindof like, wait, that's it? Abrupt, sad endings= sad me.

That was a fun story! I had a good chuckle at the Palin knock, among other things. Surprised to see so little comments on it so far, but I guess we have had a lot of Drabblcast thrown at us lately it seems (lucky us!), maybe people are catching up.

Oh yah, and great Drabble this week too.

It was really weird, but made sense to me at least. The detective is trying to figure out where/what happened to Edward Stone by interviewing people. Suddenly, the drunken ramblings of a guy passed out at the bar make perfect sense to him and he is able to put the pieces together (that's the joke, n...

There was a review of his CD on CDBaby, which I peruse frequently. Good cover art too. The sample songs were hilarious so I bought one.
