Drabblecast and Hootingyard is a match made in heaven. Great show!
Frank Key uses the best words- I still remember "finnicky bitty-bobs" "corrugated cardboard" and "sulfuric spittle" from Far Far Away.
The only way a hunchback named Mungo can be improved upon is if it is 'gibbering'.

That...was....hilarious.

Perfect tongue-in-cheek production of two unbelievably ridiculous and wonderful stories. This one's a keeper.

Fun stuff. I didn't have a problem with planets playing baseball. This is the Drabblecast, what else would planets be doing.

Surprised to not see a poll here on the Elmo thing. I definitely heard "Who wants to have sex" but then slowed down there was a clear "four" pronounced.

I pulled a lot more from it than just that. He was an old man wanting to die because he felt there was nothing left to live for, paralleling an ancient being, eons older, wanting to live because she felt, in all her travels, she had only scratched the surface of living. What is worth living for, whe...

They just ran this story on Clonepod, but I think there was some sort of editing error that chopped out bits of the story. I'm glad I got to listen to the full thing. This was officially the last clonepod episode I gave a shot. Typical, awkward and unbearable kid intro/outro. Meh story with some un...

I agree that if the narrator had been developed more, made to be more innocent and severly imposed upon by the Muse, he would have won my sympathy more and it would have made it a little bit of a stronger story. But I thought the Muse was a hilarious character, well voiced by Norm, and overall this ...

I think this is pretty subjective and I'm definitely in the pro-production camp. I actually loved the music in Bemused, it gave the story so much character. Norm usually doesn't add that many sound effects, just an occasional belch or gun shot, and they never bother me (as long as they arnt too loud...

This was a winner. My favorite was Cork Ringtone, but the other two were great also. Cork was just chock full of fun. With that title I had no idea what to expect, and I got something with monkeys, jesus holding up a liquor store and god being an alien. Well done. I thought Gerri's Sounds stood out ...

whew. Well this one just replaced Synesthesia as creepiest Drabblecast ever, IMO. I think a lot had to do with the production- especially the shadow-faerie's voice. Had a Donnie Darko vibe to it. I agree the imagery was great. Somber, haunting, hopeless. The pacing was slow, yes, both in the writing...

Yah, I'm going through archives and just heard this, thought it was one of the grosser/funny stories so far. I'm going to hazard a guess from the name/language style and assume that Sully2161 is Sullydog, one of my fav narrators and personalities from Escapepod?! I agree with him/others/Norm that this story nailed technology and human social behavior on the head. I think the tragedy of it is summed up in M...

Yah, knowing the full title wouldn't have made me enjoy or understand it more than I did since I wouldn't have recognized any subtext pertaining to the Exposition of 1915.
