Re: MBDM 2012 - Overview

This diabolical scheme has the pawprints of ACORN all over it, thus pointing the finger at Squarrel . GET THAT PANDA! too funny. I'm actually voting for Squarrel though. His frenzied nature and/or gliding ability should make him a hard target for the Phantom Ray's missiles, so the Ray would p...

Re: Drabblecast 237 - Test Drive

Wow, this one only has 5 comments? I agree it was short but that's ok with me. I people expect heavier fare on the Drabblecast now. One of my all-time favorite stories is still Code Brown from back in the day. Congrats to Eugie Foster on People's Choice Awards, well deserved. All the winners were I ...

Re: Drabblecast 239 – Killing The Morrow

That was one of my favorite stories this year. My other, Fairytale of Oakland, also had a homeless person as first person narrator... hmm, coincidence I wonder? Maybe in another time/dimension of the multiverse I'm living in a box in an alley too. I thought the pacing was really well done in this st...

Re: Drabblecast 219 - The Big Splash

Picked up a copy of the book too, am enjoying it. The stories are more hits than misses so far and the author does have a unique and likable style of writing. Feature story this week wasn't my thing. I was confused by the random sex scene until reading strawman's comment on ordinarification (nice wo...

Re: Drabblecast 221 - Year of the Rabbit

What do ghosts throw that always come back? boo -merangs What do ghosts catch that always come back? boo-herpes. Cryptkeeper Norm is easily one of my favorite things about Halloween. I LOVED this story. Very creepy and tapped into the basic fear of being alone. "Where am I, and what happened to the ...

Re: BSides 15 - In Search of the Brain-Eating Nandi Bear

Love that artwork! This saga was just,... WOW. Aside from having seriously some of the funniest most clever quips ever to come from Norm's "weird-ass" mind, the story was actually quite good too! I have to admit listening to the whole thing unabridged that things made a lot more sense. This was a go...

Re: Drabblecast 211 - At the End of the Hall

Absolutely wonderful. This was the trio combination that Drabblecast so often pulls off when producing its art: Strong story, brilliant reading, perfect music. Regarding the production... narration, I just can't say enough good things about it. The timing and characterization were so dead on. Like s...

I'm really looking forward to this CD! Norm's first cd was great but the bbardles over the past couple years have just been phenomenal. I've got the credit card ready for ya uncle Norm!

That mess was freaky. The singing baby music towards the end really tripped me out. Cool how the baby songs blended seamlessly into the soundtrack music. Loved that drabble!

Re: Drabblecast 210 - Alphabet Quartet - Trifecta XVII

"I know it's a vagina, don't you think I've seen photographs? What's it doing between her legs is what I want to know!" This one had me cracking up, Norm really is a comic genius. So glad to have Connor back. Douché, Mr. Choadsworth, douché. The stories weren't really my bag, so to speak. Parade was...

Re: Drabblecast 199 - In the Octopus's Garden

Loved this story. Creepy, especially the image I got in my head of the rotting corpse looking up from underwater at the unknowing girl in the bikini. I thought Norm's read was really good too. If the narrator had sounded dispassionate at first we wouldn't have bought the fact that he was just realiz...

Re: *TIE BREAKER!!* Best Episode Art

I missed the voting earlier but the ones I wanted to win got there anyways. Except I may have been in the Clown Hunt camp actually. Norm did a lot with the production on that to make it awesome but the author handed him all the legoes of awesomeness to put together that awesome freaking experience. ...

Re: Feature Story Nominations

This was really hard for me. So many of these are fantastic stories and so many are even more fantastic because of what Norm did with them. Since the award is about the author I have to try to divorce it from Norm, which is like somehow stripping a person of crucial DNA. But here goes: EP 148- The L...

Re: Drabblecast 193 - Scales

Loved this story. Saw the end coming the second the 'game' was introduced but I guess that's just the fairytale way. The reading was top notch and the snake man's voice effect was really cool. And yah, I think episode art should be a category in this year's people's choice awards. and i think this e...

outstanding show, this is superlative drabblecast here. Twas the Night was, (and I believe this word is way overused these days but not at all in this case) brilliant. Seriously. Favorite. bsides. ever. Or at least as of the Elves Hate You. If ever anyone needed proof that Norm made a good call bringing Bey on as editor it is this story. Also, the art was great and it almost goes without saying that the production was spectacular. The chipper music and zombie demasculation s...

YOWZERZ, yeah, that was extremely well done. Very very very dark, hopeless, terrifying, consistent sense of dread. Norm seems to be reminding us that he and DC can do anything well, not just funny and bright. I very much enjoyed this one, even though I had to stop running errands and pull over to th...

That was a really great episode. I thought the story was fantastic and yes, the voice actors and Norm's production were just phenomenal. I thought what Norm mentioned in the outro about it being about how the land transformed them hit the nail on the head (literally was like, yes! when he said that)...
