Yeah, technically a failure on the WBC's part would be a protest where no one shows up. But we succeeded in that we didn't get them more money, which is wonderful. The church thrives on people physically attacking them, since most of Phelp's kids are lawyers. http://video.ap.org/?f=&pid=jGP_77MbrPMUD...

Haha. I actually thought of the squid thing yesterday when I was trying to think of funny things to do. Actually, the WBC pretty much failed at the protest. Instead of inciting us to yell or scream (except for one high schooler... he was pretty weird). I met some cool people, who would probably enjo...

Westboro Baptist Church
The westboro baptist Church has arrived in my town. They're protesting a play my college is putting on, and moreover, have made the claim that someone who was killed in a fire was killed by god. I plan on writing down what they say and posting it up here. For those who haven't heard of the Westboro ...

I really liked this story. As a student of anthropology, the idea of looking at another culture was wonderful. It was set in a world where things that shouldn't be Maybe a crazy alternate future where genetic engineering has run rampant, spider plants, pies and cakes have taken strange new forms. So...

I was listening to Cory Doctorow's Craphound podcast, when he suddenly referenced a new story that was up on something called "Escape pod." I started listening religiously to that, until at some point Steve Eley mentioned Drabblecast, perhaps because Norm was guest hosting or reading or something. I...

I found this very interesting article on Coilhouse. I thought that Drabblecast folks would definitely like it.

Essentially, it's way too loud to be anything that we know about.

It was a bit of a field school and a bit of an archaeology site. I wrote a kinda nifty story down there about robots and the apocalypse. I thought of you guys and submitted it, but I was writing in a torpor, and venting and such. Maybe I'll do a rewrite (having lost my old computer) and post it on t...

I really liked this story. It evoked a lot of emotion. It kind of reminded me of when my dog died. Although I didn't really like the alien. And the fact that the alien could talk to the dog. I don't know what my reason for the apocalypse would have been, but I can tell you it wouldn't have been alie...

After my long drabblecast hiatus, in which is studied Andean cultures and the way the bones fit together, I returned to this story. I was thinking about Circe, and wondering if drabblecast would be able to live up to that. So i sat down at my computer, having lost my ipod (twice) and gave it a liste...

Lets see what I think. Unfortunately, despite its coolness Scraptor looks like the weakest one in this competition. The fact that it has an extra weak point on it's lung is compounded by the fact that it has no ability to hunt on its own. This is sad, because I voted for the raptor. I'll do a more d...
