Re: Pogo

To quote the Asian lady in Jelly Park: "Ooo, so close now!" I know! Queue sense of satisfied indulgent emptiness in 134 episodes' time. Incidentally, the talented Ms Whiteley of Jelly Park fame has a new collection of short stories out, which includes Witchcraft in the Harem. It's really good. so i...

So I'm going to have to confess ignoramusness to this lady at the end of the hall. Have I unwittingly copied someone else's homework?

I told you to pay the utility bill! I think it was ROU's turn. *shifty eyes* Maybe I shouldn't have ignored those debt-collection calls. Soz everybody. Well it is pretty annoying. I mean the story cuts off completely there. I mean, how does it end? You can't leave me hanging like that!

I dreamt the cascading, bubbling giggles of a child as she flew across the room, pogoing recklessly from her drip stand. The mother I knew was severe, restrained. I awoke consumed by grief, scaring Laura immensely. Dad insisted Mum had changed after I was born. The next day in the stroke ward, when ...

Hewlett Packard Lovecraft, hur hur hur... Fans of the bardle may also want to check out Living in Sin by The Broken Family Band , a sadly now-defunt alt-Americana-country act from Cambridge. England. None of this Massachoo-choo zip. They also wrote the mighty Twelve Eyes of Evil . You were talking a...

Excellent outro. I really wasn't expecting it. Anything that means the people I walk past give me 'that look' because I'm giggling at them uncontrollably is uber-awesomes. I love it when absurdism unveils the absurdity in life, excellent satire.

There's not a huge amount that can be added to the discussion here, although I particularly liked the resonance of evolution being a scale from gigantic to tiny. God is all things, everywhere and was here first. As time goes sophistication gets smaller and smaller until you're left with a new machin...

The Comedy Store, Alphard 3

It was vast, the distant windows only visible because they were so tall. Every word Silas uttered was swallowed by the immensity. Puffing with bravado like a sparrow singing at an avalanche, he said, 'What is it?' Kilikilitak shifted his broad wings and replied, 'Why, it's a comedy club. Ambassador ...

Re: Drabblecast 018 - The One That Got Away

My personal bias towards Aliya Whiteley's work aside, J. Alan Pierce was the absolute highlight of the early 'Casts. This piece in particular works amazingly well as an audio play so it suits the format as well as being most excellent in its own right.
