Nightmarish, and creepy! I love it as a piece of body horror. :D

Great first go at the drabblin' art form, Fiasco, and welcome to the forums!

Re: What's Your Drink?

People keep saying that about the Lego movie, and I keep getting more and more agog. Then again, the new "My Little Pony" TV series also turned out to be ridiculously better than it had a right to be, so maybe those toy companies are onto something nowadays...

Re: What's Your Drink?

I'm having one of my favorite beers tonight, Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. Cheers! It was a pretty outstanding, if craaaaazy, weekend in Varda-land. Got some potentially exciting news related to my writing. Hung out with my friend from Pseudopod's staff on Saturday at the Terrapin Brewery and talked a...

Re: Happy Birthday!

The sense I get is that Birthdays are fun like a spinning top, sped up to the speed of light, obliterated by inertial forces, until it slows a moment later to find that it's four years later. I could almost visualize this idea popping out of Varda's Temporal Lobe. Nice. Yup! I can't get one past yo...

Happy Birthday!

Today I congratulate you on another successful trip around the sun! May your next trip be better faster wilder so you have to dig your nails into the dirt as the orbit rolls on all seven billion of us screaming in harmony as the planets stream past… one! two! eight! …the trees torched by friction th...

Re: Ask and You Shall Receive

This is a GREAT drabble, WWFB. I enjoyed everything about it, especially the last bit where "man" gets created, and you have to reevaluate everything that's come before as it all falls into place. I love how shamelessly romantic it was, too. I find in the world of microfiction that when people write...

Re: Drabblecast 312 – Day Million

Welcome to the forums, Hepworth! And you'll get no argument from me - I fully agree there was story missing in the story. There was a decidedly complete lack of any kind of plot other than, "Hey, here's a description of some characters that will proceed to do not much at all except go about their bu...

Re: Drabblecast 312 – Day Million

... a vengeful, devouring hole. (not what I intended when I wrote it, but Freudian goggles make everything more fun!) And I thought I was exercising great restraint by not going there (yes that's a triple entendre). But now that we have... Aren't they all? Aren't they all. If we'd just le...

Re: Drabblecast 312 – Day Million

I loved everything about this episode but the story. "Urge to rape" and "Instinct to submit"? I'm about as anti-femiNazi as you can (legally) get, and that kind if statement/thinking offends me. I second ASID on this. "Urge to Rape" and "Instinct to Submit" are both revelatory of the AUTHOR'S think...

She took off her clothes, but she wasn’t naked underneath. She wore no skin. Just a heart, pumping, pumping, pumping… Nice one, Jeetkuneluke! It appears to be two characters short of the required 100 though - I highly recommend this too l maintained by our most esteemed ASiD to reach twabble nirvan...

I just have to say that "Jawline" is an absolutely epic last name.

"Varda Jawline" has a very nice ring to it, don't you think? :D

I don't know how I missed the lemonade comment, Tom, but that made me smile! As for Georgia snow vs. Indiana... okay, yeah, yours is bigger. :P BUT! BUT! Did I mention we had an earthquake last night? SO THERE, TOP THAT! Strawman, did you guys get the earthquake too? Glad you missed out on...
