Re: The Forecast calls for Death

Fantastic job, Tibbi! I love what you've done, again. I'm guessing that means you enjoyed my groaner of an ending, huh?

Re: Crouching in the Hallway

I enjoyed this one. A nice old bitterness in it. And anything revisiting the Cold War is awesome, love studying the psychology of that time. The ending is wonderfully bleak as well. I'm curious about your use of 'Malthusian' - I thought this had something to do with eventual overpopulation of Earth?...

Hiya Kate. Welcome to the boards.

Interesting character study. I like Walter, wouldn't mind seeing that expanded.

The Forecast calls for Death

Ivy was afraid of number 4. Sometimes she dreamed about it: distant figures whispering its name in warning. She was certain her death would involve 4 somehow. She stopped leaving home, afraid she'd come across a rogue number 4 bus, a murderous four-year-old, or slip on four carelessly dropped tetraf...

Wonderful job on the reading, Norm, I loved it! I'm surprised you got your mouth around all those weird language malfunctions I excused as alien language. Thanks for sharing it with the Drabblecast community.

Well, there was a game concept I didn't think was all that weird until Norm Sherman found a way for it to make sense. It's great to have you posting here, Norm, I love your drabble work.

I can't entirely put my finger on it, but I this is instantly one of my fave drabbles. It just kept surprising me until the very end. It also helped that I read it in my sarcastic old British man inner voice. Really fun. If I could make one suggestion, could you put your comments underneath the Dra...

Re: When Staying Still Is Death

I enjoyed the imagery, and how a nice a little snippet it is. I must've read it five times by now trying to put it all together; but in a good way. I'm curious about the winged herd. Pegasi? Quick spelling thing: Lightning instead of lightening. As for title, how about "Another Day"? Just what poppe...

Re: Welcoming Committee (Halloween)

Hmm, I grew up thinking the house usually gave you a Trick or a Treat. Rarely I did get a trick - a magician performed card tricks for each batch of kids, and someone else gave a box of candy with a note inside to the tune of 'Hah-hah, no candy for you, loser'. I think another time a man at the door...

Re: The Secret Histories Of His Species [Category: Cnsprcy T

I actually thought this was a bit of a bait-and-switch, where we assume the cleric is part of the human species in the future, doing the usual wah-humans-are-terrible routine, but then it turns out he was never human to begin with. Implying what? That an alien species has the same problem? Or perhap...
