Re: Hitomi Can See You [Category: Halloween]

While I like it enough, I feel that this drabble could be stronger if it were told less literally. It's almost like a Wikipedia summary of the story. Two separate articles, even, as there's a big shift from one half to the other. Suppose you told the story from Hitomi's perspective. Imagine how she ...

Re: My Dog is an Alien

This drabble is one of my favorites. Had fun producing it. thank you for the kind words. :) Reminds me I haven't done a dribblecast for awhile. Need to break out the mic this weekend. Aw. I'm glad to hear it was one of your faves. I enjoyed working on that one. Too often do I go straight for the ea...

Love it, Goc. I've read it three times and still have no idea what's happening, but I love it anyway. I know I'd want ice cream if I was suffering from heatstroke in an eternal 4th of July as well, no matter how sticky.

Re: The Walk Home

A very nice moment. I like these drabbles which tell stories of moments. It reminds me of those stories people tell when they've hardly a story at all - just a moment or two in their lives they can't fully explain.

Don't trust the stuffed boar in your uncle's attic. If it offers you eternal life, ask to use the bathroom. Do not return.

Trick or Treat (Halloween Theme)

“TRICK OR TREAT!” Nora didn’t recognize the costume. Before she could ask, he continued. “Would you like a trick or a treat?" Nora blinked. “Oh, for me? A trick, then.” The trick-or-treater pulled a package of MintPuffs out of his pillowcase. "I thought those were discontinued!" she exclaimed. "But ...

Re: Eternal Gardens of Living Teeth

That was genuinely chilling! Thanks for responding to that challenge. I love this idea of a garden of teeth, although my question only grows more urgent - what does he do with the teeth now that he's got a crop of them? For another time, I'm sure, because the mystery is proving a very enjoyable sour...

Hi MonsieurMoustache and thank you for posting. I'm delighted that you enjoyed the piece. It isn't often that I'd write a drabble in one solid block of text, and I couldn't really tell you why I decided to do so in this case. With your permission, I'll make your recommended adjustments. I'm very gr...

Re: Everyone knows it’s your Parents : Conspiracy Theory The

“This won’t hurt very much. Just lie back and imagine you’re wherever you’d like to be”, said Dr. Charon, as he slipped the mask of Morpheus over my swollen face. I tried to imagine the beach we washed up on before the scurvy made our teeth fall out. I tried to imagine feasting on roasted boar once...

My parents told me Charon took all the teeth to Hades on the tooth ferry... Pfff...nice. But I'm curious what the God of Death does with them. I challenge you to drabble that. *this is me attempting to like this challenge - Facebook style :D Sounds like time or no time, the gauntlet has been tossed...

Re: Plain Sight

IMO, it would be stronger to start with the final sentence, then show us the little green men at Halloween with the President, etc. The "twist" is the basis, and the the humorous methods and nefarious purpose are the pay-off, at least for me. Agreeing with Strawman. After your first sentence everyt...

Re: Another Inhabitant [Category: Truth Seeker]

Quite beautiful. It took me a couple reads to really understand what was going on, but the text is very lyrical. I feel it might benefit from a little formatting to control the pacing, so it doesn't come at you like a brick wall of text. It'll help give certain lines punch, too. I took the liberty o...

Re: Pay it Forward

Yikes. Instantly paints a thousand possible events. But I'm also wondering what Charon does with all that shiny. Is he like a magpie? Very good drabble. If I may make a suggestion for improvement, some words are repeated a few times. 'The Ferryman' is used 5 times, and I feel it would be stronger an...
