Yes, this is something I really wish we could do and its surely an issue. I can make the files mp3, no problem- the problem is that I use Mac's iLife to publish the podcast, and because it's so user-friendly it doesn't give you many options for things like this. I haven't been able to find a way to ...

That's a good idea. It would probably be 15 cds or so though- unless they were in mp3 format?

Indeed. And once the larval stage of the Norm clone is complete it drops from the pimple and into the soil where it finishes its lifecycle.
Just wait till the virus becomes airborn...

Indeed...and many an awckward silence and confused expression has followed that song.

Actually Tweedy, I hadn't even thought about the biological implications of this story- thanks for that thought! Now I'm wishing the author had gone down that road more...

Hey, I just read the stories. :-)

Any cute pics of Clara that we could melt over yet? Feel free to share (unless you'd rather not have them one click away from pics of the Octo-child or Tree-man, which is understandable)

Haha- wow, that's actually a hilarious idea. I'll run it by the crew.

As for the story, I enjoyed the suddeness with which the pimple began to take a humanoid appearance. It was like BLAM! I think we've all had a memorable cyst experience, but perhaps not viewed it so maternally.

Haha, well I am from Georgia. I thought it was alluded in a super subtle way that she was at mental home. At the end she sat on the porch- a "different porch"- playing with her buttons. I dunno, could have been reading too much into it. I know some people who would be less affected if the victim was...

whoa, totally different take on the story than I had Tweedy. I'll have to go back and listen again with your interpretation in mind. I hadn't considered that the narrator might be from an advanced human race- I definately thought it was an alien narrator- like he was making a soliloquy relaying all ...

Yeah, this is one of my favorite stories we've gotten. It was pretty heavy for the first half before it started getting gross and tragic. I liked the end, with the aliens having to "adapt to be able to live with themselves", - implies that even beings, no matter how advanced or "moral" they think th...

tBaker I agree with your remarks about short fiction- I think we will be doing more shorter work- expecially drabbles, because of all the feedback like yours we've gotten. Feel free to say what you liked or disliked about the stories though, these are discussion forums! I think Escapepod is a great ...

Let's just say that while the Black and White animals trilogy may never win a Parsec award, it would be all over the "Worst puns in podcasting" award...if there were one.

Huh, I had the opposite reaction Tweedy- I liked all 3 but Pork/SteakEye was my favorite and Witness my least. It's maybe just because I kept annoying myself with the robot voice when I was trying to read it- I had to take a more human/butler approach to be able to stand it. I liked Wiggin's when I ...

Yah, "parasitic twin" is a weird phrase that always conjures up nightmares of waking up one morning to find a lamprey-like me affixed to my stomach through some sort of circular suction mouth.
