Premium Content Ideas
Thought I would open this up as a Suggestion Box for what Drabblecast Bsides Premium Content subscribers would like to see made available beyond stories. We've got ideas for an App, DC ringtones, DC desktop and mobile themes, a text-based In Search of the Mongolian Deathworm video game, a possible w...

TGIF Lyrics
It's a rare condition, this day and age to read any good news on the newspaper page Love and tradition of the grand design some people say it's even harder to find Well then there must be some kind of magic clue, inside these tearful walls Cause all that I see is a tower of dreams, with real love bu...

Re: B-Sides 26 - The Beast in the Cave
Yah, it blows me away that lil Howie wrote like this when he was 14. If anything, his prose got less purple as he matured. This is what happens when someone gives you "Baby's First Thesaurus" at your baby shower. But if you think kids were weirder back then strawman, just watch Myley Cyrus dance aro...

I mean, $10 is one lunch around these parts. Can't you afford to skip just ONE lunch a month to keep these stories coming? What's health and nutrition in comparison? :D Actually, there are 2 factors, for me. The first is logistics: On the burnable-ID cards I use, $100, per yer, per card is the limi...

Re: Dragoncon 2013
Sadly I'll be missing Dcon this year for Worldcon in San Antonio that same weekend. I encourage Drabble-folk to powwow and convene all the same! Wish I could be there. On the other hand, if any DC fans are planning on going to Worldcon/LonestarCon memorial day weekend, the Drabblecast is throwing a ...

Awesome!
I agree that a small preview would really bump sales though. Have forwarded to multiple people and most have replied "Wait, I can't see any of it first?"
But I'm glad a picked it up, definitely good times.

Haha, those were whatchya call "technical difficulties." Super annoying delay up on that skype connection made it pretty awkward. Reception has never been very good in Jelly Park.tbaker2500 wrote:You sounded a lot more awake than you did for that tech podcast interview a while back.

Norm interview at Write1Sub1
Here's an interview I did recently with write1sub1.com, for those interested. Special thanks to Nathan Lee for lending a hand.

Creeper Guy vs. The Mongolian Deathworm
Fun writeup by a fan trying to listen to Drabblecast Bsides #9

Two tips for faster jogging: 1. hot girl in front of you 2. creepy dude behind you. Also, if you're behind a 1. you're probably her 2.

Re: Drabblecast 278 – The End of the World as We Know It
Looking at the cover art, it finally dawns on me that I'm looking at a flowchart. Chose your post-apocalyptic tropes and make yourself an end-of-the-world story/movie. Ya, I LOVE the artwork for this episode too. Made it my desktop wallpaper for the week (replacing a sweet high-res photo of pteroda...

I've been re- listening to some of these early ones myself. Try to remember that in these early days authors were submitting their work to my own personal Hotmail address for consideration, for either no pay or half a .cent a word a little later. I was publishing this stuff from my macbook in my liv...

Tom, I usually agree with ya bud, but Jimmy's Roadside to me was one of the most uplifting stories of the last year-- not depressing! The selflessness and kindness of Jimmy was all the more moving to me when set against the grim fizzling out of the world around him, IMO.

But I'm concerned. EP has a history of chewing through people. Might this be the start of some hideous infliction of unproductive insanity upon Mr. Sherman? (As opposed to the productive-enough-to-podcast brand of insanity) I think the key is securing good help from others. The Drabblecast would ha...

Re: Post apocalyptic audio drama podcast
Almost done with Season 1 and gotta say I'm loving it. Extraordinarily well produced.
Not at all for the faint of heart but of course, neither is the post-apocalypse.
But ya.
This is easily the best produced "Audio Drama" series I've heard on the web or anywhere else. Completely engaging.

Interesting you see Hawking instead of Kipling. "Best Beloved" in a robo-voice might have been too much.strawman wrote:This has got to be inspired by Stephen Hawking's Universe.

have heard your pittling clamorous obsecrations for Dick.
And so, it is Dick ye shall have.
That is all. Resume pittling.

Ha! That girl at the bar totally thinks that sci-fi and fantasy are the same genre. Good luck getting into my pants honey.
