Re: Rest in piece, Eugie Foster.

I'm very sorry about that. Right now, the home page of Escape Pod has all of her stories that were narrated on Escape Pod, Pseudopod, and Pod Castle. I had no idea there were so many. The Life and Times of Penguin has always stuck with me, out of the hundreds of Escape Artists stories I've listened ...

Re: A Huge Responsibility

I'm probably going to get sued for breech of copyright now.   iDuMp2kDxos I think you're well in the clear for copyright. And I thought your story was very entertaining, and I got a laugh out of it. The Simpsons has been on the air 26 seasons, as long as the original run of Doctor W...

"The Last Stand" Rules violation

Cat with Blue Fur Contest Rule 6: Story must have a character named the "Cat with Blue Fur" in it that is, in fact, a cat with blue fur...initially... or would at least appear to be... Your stories do not necessarily have to be be "about" the Cat with Blue Fur; he and his friends could just be tang...

The Spell

Once a year, at dawn’s first light, the dead can be brought back to life. The spell is simple to prepare and cast. Father kneels, holding her, hugging her, kissing her and weeps. She is always as she was before, never remembering her parade of returns in years gone by. For one day, the world makes s...

The Grandfather Paradox

The Grandfather Paradox could be tested in a lab- no messy killing of relatives required. At its heart, the paradox is simple: send anything back in time so that it stops itself from being sent back in time at all. My invention: an emitter that could spin a quantum-entangled photon a few thousandths...

Re: Stepping Through

That is a very nice story that you've written, and i really enjoyed it.

My only criticism is that you used 'vines' three times, and that gets repetitive. If you merged the first two occurrences of the word, I think it would improve the story's structure.

As I said, it was a fun story.

Another story featuring rubber animal masks. This is a grim, twisted and disgusting series.

Cocaine Hippopotomi threaten Columbian villagers

BBC News A herd of hippopotamuses once owned by the late Colombian drug baron Pablo Escobar has been taking over the countryside near his former ranch - and no-one quite knows what to do with them. It was in 2007, 14 years after Escobar's death, that people in rural Antioquia, 200 miles north-west ...
