Two on Teeth

"Everyone Knows it's Your Parents" begat "Eternal Gardens of Living Teeth" with a question about what's done with teeth made off with by supernatural personages. Within the latter, unseentangerine urged me to not abandon the challenge set out by the former. So you can all assign the blame for these...

Heaps of praise to the winners! If I'm this dizzy with glee at the result I got, I hope our winners aren't operating heavy machinery for the next couple of days.

The Other Airship Crash of 1897 [Category: Conspiracy]

Armed with court order, supported by state police, the investigators dug at the grave of the purported “airship imp” while a small group of locals looked on. Presently they heaved out a century-old butter crate. With reverence, they lifted the lid to reveal the tiny corpse in its silver jumpsuit. A ...

Well, I was going to have a try. I think I'm better off having a lie-down instead.

Re: Drabblecast 338 - The Crevasse

I had read this some time ago (but... where? ), and I'm surprised to discover how much more I enjoyed it in this dramatized form-- I think because the difference voices made some of the more interwoven dialogue passages easier to follow. I'm going to try to make my brother listen to this one. He's n...

It's an excellent light/dark ending. Souffle-like, even.

...and that's a darned tempting challenge. If only one had more free time.

I definitely get more Animal Farm from it. I have a suspicion that the major fast food concerns are going to be lobbying like mad for a removal of laws against cannibalism (Soylent Green is... something tasty!).

I shall always cherish "paranormal Activia". (edit) Having now listened all the way through, I wanted to registered real praise. I'm seldom taken by the notion of writing from the ghost's point of view, but after hearing these stories it's definitely on my "give it a try" list. I particularly like t...

I once had a spot named Dog. This was not whimsy but tendency to Spoonerism and the persistent pillar of fire found there.

Door Ajar

But first, the context-- earlier today, this showed up on a friend's Facebook: https://ravensmarch.files.wordpress.com/2014/09/opendoor.jpg ...and of course my immediate response was, "Really? A 'normal' Writer Brain, maybe." I then stuck an abnormal Writer Brain's response in as a comment, which I'...

If pressed to choose one: Kraken rum, which has delicious adjuncts but isn't too flavoured to to prevent a nice glass of three-water grog when the weather's warm.

...of course, if one could afford it, Diplomatico rum is much better.

Re: Drabblecast 336 - The Mouth of God

I liked the story somewhat in spite of the second person. I usually don't get a useful disconnect out of the use, as C_lucio mentions; rather, my response when presented with "You shamble forth, knife in hand..." is a grumpy no, I'm sitting in a moderately comfortable chair, drinking chocolate milk ...
