Re: Countryside Walk

My point was that before we learned to adapt to nature, it did its damdest to kill us off. Everything worked against our survival. Now that we have central heat and air, the new Ethos has decided we must view humanity as a blight on the planet. What could the wild beasts have done about climate cha...

Re: Countryside Walk

OK, I'll bite... It's not about "going back" to some non-existent Golden Era. It's about recognising that we share this planet with thousands of other species, that it's not ours to do with as we will, regardless of the consequences, that we are now able to destabilize things in all sorts of ways, n...

Misunderstood

It circles, ever closer. Small piece descends to greet us, but pierces our skin! Not the friend we imagined. Aggressor!

Re: Overworked

Nicely done. I guess this one is set in the early-to-mid 20th Century, and that things aren't quite so bad these days, at least in terms of warfare. Now we have greater existential threats to consider. Death may yet need that backup.

Almost hypnotic... that nodding head, like one of those dogs people [used to?] have on their car dashboards.

Re: Drabblecast 342 - I'm Bill Kurtis

Feel like I'm living in an alternative universe this week... ( my feedback on this week's B-Side , Sorry About Your Dog) I liked this story, although I was a bit unclear about how the girl managed to dispose of her would-be killers. Were they just crap at their chosen passtime? Is there something I ...

I've no idea of the numbers, but I'm guessing most DC subbers don't frequent these forums, or do so sporadically. If a KS campaign is to gain traction it'd be good to have it mentioned on the podcast.

Re: Bsides 54 – Sorry About Your Dog

Entertaining, but more could have been done with the creepy intrusiveness of the guy in the woman's home. The insurance angle was mildly amusing but a bit predictable. The increasingly out of control nature of things worked quite well... Perhaps could have been taken further, totally wrecking the ho...
