Re: Nightmare

I had to read this through three times before I grasped it... at least I think I do :) Nice one.

Suggestion: in the final para, try to avoide "remove" and "removed". Also "my" and "my"... perhaps the first "my" can be dropped?

...Anyways. How about the crowd-fund project with ideas from the forums? Is it doable, given the effort required to set it up? Talking of royalties, there are costs involved with Kickstarter and the like, but these just have to be built into the financial targets, I guess.

Re: DC Merch?

I've looked into these sites. The thing that always surprises me, is how little makes it to Norm. Zazzle expects around 7% of the price to make it to Norm. They charge $14.95 for a base white T shirt, no printing. I can get a custom printed t-shirt around here for $10. So they really gouge you for ...

Re: Drabblecast 341- The Litany of Earth

I so liked loved this. I empathised strongly with Aphra Marsh, felt completely on her side, sharing her feelings of being an outsider and of the great loss she had experienced. The injustice her people had suffered. And Norm's reading is excellent. I sub'd to the Rocket Talk podcast and listened, vi...

I made my friends read this and they either backed away slowly or threatened to punch me... I thought it was hilarious. Thank you for enjoying the story and proving I'm not the only "weird" one out there Have you tried exposing your friends to a Drabblecast podcast? They might have a change of hear...

"Doc, you're back! But uh... Doc, what happened to your pants?" "Pants? Where we're going, Marty, we don't need pants." Ashamed to say the Doc / Marty reference almost didn't register... almost :) I like this one... picturing the manic excitement on Doc's face, and Marty's helpless compliance in th...

Re: Making the Rounds

I agree with unseentangerine. The "(field not yet decided)" indicates a novice / student scientist. When we learn she's not where she imagines herself to be, it clicks. I'm probably being dense, but I can't get my head around the intent behind the following... She knew something about this world, a ...

Re: Sex with 21 women lowers risk of prostate cancer

Concerning the outlook when diagnosed with prostate cancer, I was going to say that there are always exceptions to any rule... but then I thought, that can't be right... how about a rule like "If you drop a fragile piece of porcelain from a tenth-floor window onto a concrete surface, it will break"?...

Re: Classics 11 (EP 87) - The Box Born Wraith

Enjoyed this one. Noting the length of the reanimated classic, I forgot to allow for the discussion and was slightly disappointed when the story ended... I half expected a part two :) All the same, a great story with a lot of emotion in the main character and well-described scenes without going OTT ...
