Walter's Chaos

You met Walter already. He’s the guy who rode his super bike to the Africa Bike Week Harley event in Margate slightly “lubricated”. He’s an interesting guy, dangerous, free spirited, a big risk taker, loves with all his being but when things go bad for him, they go very bad. Maybe it’s because his l...

Re: Mrs Potts' Father's Desk

Glad you like it Bounce. Don't worry about not "getting it" because it just is what it is. There's no twist or riddle at all. I happened to have seen this absolutely stunning antique desk displayed at Ramsgate Stationer's window in the mall; went in and asked about it. Turned out that the desk (not ...

Mrs Potts' Father's Desk

It stands silently in the stationary shop’s window. Aged wood polished with years of arm movements and varnished with the shuffle of papers over its surface. Holes visible where ropes slid through to form crude handles when it was still a crate journeying between Europe and Africa all those years ag...

Your Move

The workshop was empty except for the freezers and power tools. Darren and Frank sat across from one another in silence.

Re: Problems accessing forums

Thanks for your reply A, I got our IT guru to look into it for me and it apparently had something to do with our server issuing some random ip for this forum. We have fixed it on our side. apologies.

Problems accessing forums

This afternoon I suddenly became unable to connect or access the forum via my normal connection but am anle to do so via cellular 3G. I can access the drabblecast.org website without issue on both. Is there a forum setting that's blocked my ip?

Thank you Monsieur. Point taken on the twabble bit. Perhaps I failed to listen to what the piece wanted from me. Shall endeavor to pay closer attention next time.

Under Wraps Hats

He loved hats. All different kinds. The weirder the better. The odd thing was that Henry didn’t like being noticed. He never liked being stared at or being the centre of attention either. But the hats. He just had to have them. Big, tentacled, pom pom ended, feather adorned hats of all shapes and si...

Your Move

Silence. Between two people silence can be quite a few things. First, and probably most desirably, it could be that they are both familiar enough with one another to spend time without words or conversation. A comfortable silence. The Barrow

Okert wasn’t a particularly fascinating man. His life was actually very ordinary by general standards. Except for his near manic obsession with his barrow. Yes, his barrow. An old wooden cart that he used to carry around his most treasured possession. His colleagues became accustomed to him lugging ...

Alone in the clearing. The eerie silence hangs like moss from dead limbs. Solomly waiting for someone to depress a Cord.
