Re: Drabblecast 183- Angel of the Ordinary by Tim Pratt

I don't know much about iTunes, but there were occasions when I used to use it that it unilaterally decided that I no longer wanted to download specific podcasts. Look for a little tick or similar icon on the image for that podcast.

Re: Drabble Reviews Blog

Kraken by China Mieville I like China. No, I really do. And I really wanted to like this book (I even got a copy signed for my son while he was in melbourne for World Con), and if I was completely honest I did enjoy it. However, I enjoyed it even more the first time around when it was called Neverw...

Re: Drabblecast 183- Angel of the Ordinary by Tim Pratt

Dreamrock - I'm teasing, you silly sausage. I was disappointed by the transformative effect of the wifes return, if you are mad (and this guy is madder than a box of frogs) that does not simply switch off, or go away. His wife may be therapeutic, but he was in need of some serious mediation to handl...

Re: Drabblecast 183- Angel of the Ordinary by Tim Pratt

Great concept, when the rapture comes it won't be the righteous who are saved but the extraordinary. I liked the PoV of the odd-ball who decks himself out in baubles and fills his front yard with headless dollies. However, I was disappointed how easily he abandoned his enlightened lifestyle when his...

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)

My humble opinion, is that I like to hear multiple people reading the same story. I view there as being some issues with calling dibs in an "official" manner. Sometimes people get busy and drop the ball, locking up a story from being recorded by somebody with more free time. Indeed, in such circums...

Ugh, the only reason that I post to the dribblecast is because I am confident that nobody is listening

I liked the Evil Robot Monkey story best of all. Would you rather be a smart monkey in a cage, or a stupid monkey in a cage?

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)

I don't think there is any need for a complex system, possession is nine tenths of the law. Perhaps you should be more sly about it; if you see a great drabble comment "this drabble is really crap" in the forums and then rush off and record it before anybody else. Also, in a desperate attempt to pro...

Re: What Happens During Vacations?

I must do this with the small centipedes in my basement. What, throw basketballs at them? Messy. (I used to live in the basement at my parents' house, out in the woods in pseudo-rural Virginia. Spiders and snakes and centipedes and lizards, all over the place. Also ants, though they stayed in the k...

The Gangster and the Toyota

When Mrs Edith Bobkin took her car to the garage she was as surprised as anyone when the brutalised corpse of crime lord Derrick 'Knuckles' Pearce was found in the boot. The police were called, and everybody sat down with a nice cup of tea to get over the shock. When he arrived Detective Stone took ...

Good luck with that. If you feel intimidated just imagine yourself naked, or something.
