Re: Drabblecast 136 - The Great Old Pumpkin

My wife and I have two cats at home, and I grew up with cats on a family farm. I'm not sure if I'd want to know if I had Toxoplasma Gondii. I try to avoid thinking about...

As a pup I dreamt of strange customs in distant lands, as told by stories carried on the wheels of the visitings UPS truck.

Vaz said, "If mind control is possible nature would provide it."
Dr. Cox stared back.
"Yes of course. How foolish of me."

The world is cruel to prophets. That is why Lovecraft, like Nostradamus before him, framed his insights as literature.

Re: Drabblecast 305 – Testimony Before an Emergency Session

I just finally listened to this one the other day and I loved it. I really like the idea of what's essentially an alien psychology in a creature that has evolved on this world.

Re: Computer Passes the Turing Test

Yeah, I thought the ESL second language thing was kind of weak, but the point is that they did fool a good percentage of the judges. The technology is only going to keep getting more powerful.

Well, when you think about it, how do you know that the beautiful blond arguing that GMOs have been scientifically proven to be safe is a real person? Ever met her? Notice how she always returns her conversation to the same talking points? Could that be an indication that she's a true believer, work...
