Re: Merely Fruit

This is good on so many levels. The best for me is that I love thinking in terms of the microcosmic. Worlds within worlds or (in this case) a universe within a peach. This does the job very nicely. Thanks for making me smile today with this great drabble. :D

And welcome aboard.

Thanks. :D I was in a quandary over whether to use the term "stalagmites" or "spikes". In the end, I thought "spikes" had a "toothier" feel and would make a reader think: "Get the hell out of that chamber, people!"

Thanks. Wasn't sure if that was coming across or not. I'm working on trying to make it clearer. :)

Re: The Crystal Worm (Drabbler #16 entry)

Like the bit about black noise and the whole idea, of course the mongolian death worm reference is FTW* as an iside joke reference to the Mongolian Death Worm, Norm's schtick is so damn tight. I've always wanted to read or hear more of Norm's fiction, but I guess modesty prevents him from using the...

Nice catch. That Mongolian Death Worm stuff was too good to let lie dormant in my head. It might ferment. Then it would be Bono.

The Crystal Chamber (Drabbler #16 entry)

The second survey crew landed near the object embedded in the southern hemisphere of a dead world. They'd lost contact with the first team months ago. The artifact resembled an enormous crystalline worm buried in the earth. A nearby cave led them down into a chamber filled with alien devices. Numero...

Re: Drabbler Magazine #16 Contest

Couldn't wait until today. What needs to be drabbled, ought to be drabbled without delay. Wrote into the night and again this am. As far as 'Alien Architecture', I came up with this weird little alien artifact piece I'll post here now. Later at Sams.

Re: Drabbler Magazine #16 Contest

Ya, I don't think you'll made the cut if it's not Alien Architecture themed, but honestly I wrote Ander-01D before I knew about the contest. The theme of #15 was "Living on an Alien World" and it was a close enough fit. (Although Dying on an Alien World might more accurately describe it.) I'll come...

Re: Drabbler Magazine #16 Contest

Sure, I made honorable mention in Episode #15 with "The Zombies of Ander-01D." btw, the theme of this months issue is "Alien Architecure" I've already written my submission which I shall now post. Cool. 8) Do we have to go with the theme, though? But, I could use the challenge...file cards spinning...

And sure she's a fine Irish Kelly girl who knows her lore and poetry. This almost belongs in Drabblenews, the first record of a tornado in all of Europe, probably conjured up from Stonehenge wiccans as a Norman omen. It was global warming, I tells ya! Rosdalla, 1055

23, April. St. George's Day. We are in the seventh hour of this accursed vision. I have no doubt we will die today, for the scourge of God is upon us. We, the townspeople, continue to stare at this cylindrical tower of fire in the sky, whose violence will not abate. Mighty birds of prey fly in and o...

If Norm goes on the show, it would be the first and probably only time I watched it. I can't wait for this meme to spin itself silly and die a sudden, silent (YES!) death. Nice drabble, Pheno. I didn't get the references either, but knew it must have been the British version of AI, when you mentione...
