Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
Awesome! Thanks for the help. I can only do 10 in one sitting. We'll trade off. :-) For tags, once a name has been entered once, simply start typing it in and a drop-down will appear with it in it. The down arrow to select it and hit enter. Hm, that's not showing up on mine. I'll try a different br...

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
I uploaded the next 10. The Wordpress system you've set up is definitely a lot better than the Posterous one. I accidentally uploaded an incorrectly named MP3 and was able to delete just the file itself and upload the fixed one without a problem ... and without googling for help either. Huzzah. I'd ...
Re: Auraphage
Probably not the cold impairing your intelligence, I wasn't quite sure myself when writing it, whether the patient, the doctor, both or neither were insane. I liked the idea of playing with synaesthetic descriptions and so produced this. Incidentally Auraphage wasn't meant to refer to the name of t...

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
I'm trying tags. It's not perfect, but it might be a start. check it out at http://www.gardenstreet.org/dribblecast" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . I haven't uploaded or tagged all episodes yet. I'm putting a tag for both the reader and the writer. So, if you click on the J.E. Igna...
Re: Auraphage
Not really sure what to make of the story. If the auraphage is insane, it's pretty vague. If the auraphage isn't, I guess I need more drama, or for folks to think he's insane or something with a bit of a wink to it.
Might just be my cold impairing my intelligence though. XD

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
I haven't looked since you started putting episodes in. Is there an easy way to sort out episodes by writer and reader? It's a request we've gotten a few times. Bell was handling it by hand for awhile but that's a bit of work.tbaker2500 wrote:Are there any features that people want?

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
With regards to gatekeeping. I'm thinking we use the same janitorial service we have now, who have logins to do the posting. Plus, frequent contributors could get poster-level logins to publish directly, saving the email step. Something like that? That sounds great. That was the original plan ... p...

Re: Miracle Cures
The biggest hurdles for me were: 1) "Turd" is just a five-year-old's word, and nothing can ever make it less immature. The tone is in a sort of conversational adult style, something you might read on a medical advice website in a magical world, and "turd" just kept throwing me off. 2) "Also, their ...

Indie cinemas? Oh, to live in a place with indie cinemas! Curse you, Cinemark! The wonderful thing about indie cinemas in my area is ... well, if you like Bollywood movies and don't mind driving to Cary, you're going to love it. If you need to see and participate in Rocky Horror on a regular basis,...

Re: Not news, but a great way to waste time.
Three issues: I don't know if a faster processor or more than 6 kb of ram would speed this program up, but leaving it running with paths on produces some awesome autogenerated graphics. After playing with it for a while I ache for a 3rd dimension. So whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances ...

Hee.
It works for me. Not saying it would suffer from an extra fifty words, but, as you said, it pivots on the very last word.

Hahaha. I love stories where kids talk about sciency stuff and blow adults out of the water.
Don't know why, it just makes me happy inside. Like there's a parallel universe where kid-me would be normal and not a super nerd maybe. XD

Miracle Cures
I posted this one up as a Bedtime Story and got some vaguely meh feedback ... along with a bunch of kind comments. XD Curious to see if anyone has any specific ideas about what can be improved on it. --- When folks tell you dragon turds have magical properties, they're not lying. You've heard it cu...

Re: Fan Cast (Dribblecast Decision Making)
Hey Angels! (sorry, couldn't resist) I've never really thought of the dribblecast as mine per se. I'm always cool with whatever the community wants to do. Totally agree with Tom that we should move beyond posterous. Whatever we do, I as a (delinquent) dribblecast contributer think we should keep it ...

You can never go back, Goldenrat. You can never go back. i think that is a false statement because it really looked like Jeff Bridges did go back in time in the film Really? I believe it's a true statement. Goldenrat can never go back. I never addressed other people. I was never there in the...
