Re: Drabblecast 53 - Sing by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

Even if you're humming-- take the guitar out of it all together-- people's musical improvisations are like snow flakes. . Isn't that great? I didn't know that 2 years ago. I think we have a culture that hyper focuses on star athletes, natural talents, pro level musicians, etc. I think that attitude...

Re: Drabblecast 53 - Sing by Kristine Kathryn Rusch

Hey, I'm chugging through the archives and I wanted to share how much I really, really liked this story. About 2 years ago I started to play guitar. Translation: I'm still pretty bad. The thing is, I really am not into playing music someone else wrote. I do, mostly for educational purposes. However,...

Yeah, see, I like the creepy, not much into the blood and guts stuff myself. The almost-hysterical-trying to keep it together tone to the reading was really good though.

Oh, the hubbub over at EP brought me to DC. I read "strange, over done and trying too hard" in the comments and I skipped right on over here. Hells, I even made a donation. 'Bad' press is good for business.

Re: Zombie tag makes getting to class 'more interesting'

We used to play this in high school under a different name, but everyone was a spy/contract killer or something. You had to use a water gun/nerf pellets to get your target before someone got you. Anyone know? I'm pretty sure it was an actual RPG. I work at a college. It lost it romance. It was that ...

Meh. Awesome reading and artwork, the stories didn't have pop. Invisibility for Beginners- funny, but it felt a joke gone on too long. Not a good thing for a short short story Bubbles Surge From Froth- I had to listen to it 3 times to even follow it, my mind kept wandering off. I agree with Strawman...

Reference to Norm's song Rutabaga. If you want to listen to it, buy his CD. If you want to listen to it for free, it's ep 7.
You'll recognize the most excellent guitar in the opener too, and I'm pretty sure I've heard parts of it around here and there in other shows.

In my cubicle at work, I have a betta fish in a very small bowl. On weekdays I can appreciate the irony of this arrangement.
