This week, we had at least two Amber Alerts here in the Greater Toronto Area. Dammit, this episode did an (unintended?) gut punch with me.... ...especially when the army base and aliens release a radio alert. I was expecting the station attendant to tackle the woman and the baby/ambassador. Or worse...

I'm pleased this episode was revived and had a post-commentary from the author. It reminds me of the cliche.... the road to hell is paved with good intentions and all. This 2-parter made me squirm (part 1) and then made me reflect about how power changes creatures (part 2) . The story reminded me about a novel, called Past Watch (by Orson Scott Card). Whoah boy. This episode sailed right over my head. Fruits? Nuts? Nope. I couldn't get into the tale. I struggled with it... and gave up a third of the way in. Pity.

Drabble Classics 28 - Happy Old Year.

I just listened to our January 14th instalment. What did listeners think of it? Did you sympathise with the protagonist?

That was a fantastic story. The last line... "it was the thought that counts"... was a brutal kick in the head. The protagonist sure as hell deserved the gift... and to have it stolen. What... The... F##k.

It was pure Drabblecast. Me gusta.

An excellent episode. I was rooting for the dad.

I fear silence and infrequent delivery to subscribers (DC-b sides) may cause individuals to make their own conclusions. I loathe to add grist to the rumour mill. I hope the admin release a meta cast to update what's going on.

Sweet FSM... when my iTunes account machine when 'bing... new drabblecast episode', I did a double-take. This is indeed good news. I was a $10/month donor in 2014... and am considering reactivating it.

I sincerely want this weekly audio-magazine to resurface.
