Great story - I just posted on Facebook about it. Imagine my surprise when I heard my name mentioned.
Living in rural Texas I didn't get the impression that those folks were from around here. I was thinking that they're more likely from one of those states a little further east.

I was very excited to see a Sandra Odell story on the Drabblecast. I'd read her stories elsewhere, and her imagination and sense of humor fit perfectly here.
This one was a lot of laughs. I've never been to the south, other than a 1-week trip to Florida, so my only exposure to those areas are what I see on TV and movies. I'd never heard an explanation of "bless her heart" that way, I'll have to listen closer the next time I hear that on a show. The bride's side and groom's side based seating was a great way to counterpoint the two. Huzzah!
