Classics 14 (EP 43) - Jelly Park
I think this was a solid story, but what made this a great episode was the incredible presentation. The voices were great, and the song was just perfect. The different voices singing harmony with each other, the bubbly lyrics and melody: it was an incredible experience I could only get out of drabblecast. I went back and played it over numerous times - could you please post it, or do we have to buy your next CD?

Wow, great story. With so much "grim and dark" seriousness in weird fiction, it's nice to come across something that is genuinely, simply happy. I think it illustrates nicely the fact that each of us is, in the end, resposible for his or her own happiness.
I really enjoyed the music as well. That must have been fun to write and record.

I scanned all the comments and I'm surprised no one mentioned the Willie Wonka vibe this story gives off. Or maybe it's just me. All I know is when the bus drivers started filing out of the depot singing, the combination of image and song turned the whole story into a Wonka-like fantasy story to me.
The song was perfect, especially the "squishy underneath my feet" part. Also liked the accents. I'm assuming the moral of the story, other than not to fall asleep on the bus, is that sometimes you have to stop and smell the jelly.
I haven't had Jell-o in a long time, but I think I'm going to make some later. Lime is my favorite.

Just to say, thanks to everyone who voted for this story in the People's Choice Awards. And particular thanks to Norm for the amazing trophy I received a few days ago! It's on my mantelpiece looking very shiny and incongruous.
There's a photo of it on my blog here:

What a wonderful story and great great performance! I _love_ that song. Norm, I want to repeat the question Chivalrybean asked: Is there an MP3 of it? It really stuck in my mind and I've been singing 'Give us all some Jelly' all day now.
I think I need to get some yoghurt to get that Jelly flavor out of my mind.

I'll be there in 5 minutes. If not, read this again.

Don't listen to them- Just get on the next bus and ask the driver for some.
You're my quasi-ichthian angel, you're my half-amphibian queen...
The Dribblecast, we don't care if you sound like an idiot.
