I think what we can take from this, is that the Drabblecast asks so little, that people don't even notice when it's gone.

Amen, brother! Dollars or evangicals, we can use 'em all!

Oh believe me, that particular neon-coloured and fruit-scented starship had already well and truly sailed.

But I've been telling friends anyway!

Does anyone happen to know why my forum posts have a little gold figure by my name? Is that for staff members or something? Just curious. :)

I don't see it under yours!

So maybe everybody has it marking their own posts in case you forget who you are? I sense an after-school-special message coming about how we all think we're alone, but we're all in this together (or something).

It shows who's online at the moment. With that understanding, re-read that exchange and it's quite funny! :D

Actually, no, I don't. I'm getting awfully forgetful in my old age.

I always thought it meant that I might already have won the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstake.

Haha, good stuff. I thought I was special or something!

I had kind of the inverse of that at another forum not too long ago. Many of the topics had stars next to them, but none of the threadsI started EVER had stars next to them. I thought it might be a sign that my threads were too lame to merit a star. So I asked about it, and it turns out that the forum puts a star next to any thread that the logged in user has NEVER viewed before. And, of course, it's impossible to make a thread without viewing it, so therefore, no one ever sees a star next to their own thread. :P

I prefer the term "high-functioning", myself.

Okay, I didn't create an account here until after the comments on this story were just a bit too far back, but now that it is the top of the page I don't mind posting:

Favorite Drabblecast Ever! And I love the artwork. And the drabble was fun too. And Norm was particularly hilarious for some reason. But this story is right up there with Doctor Horrible for tragic, amazingly well-written super-villain origins/deconstructions.

New posts on old threads are welcome. What fun is a wound if you dont reopen it every so often?
