It was my turn to wear the mask, but my egg-sister Linney wouldn’t give it up. She’d been wearing the mask all morning, set on Smile, and it was a test day, too. Everyone thought she was so pleased and relaxed and Earthy…

I feel like I went into a 5 star restaurant, ordered the 7 course meal and shortly after the breadsticks and soup the waiter comes up and says " The kitchen staff went on strike" Would you like some more ice water?
I liked it, it sucked me in and then ended all to quickly

I agree that it had a cool idea but ended too quickly. There seemed to be some real conflict brewing there that never really happened.
Also, I KNEW I'd read it before and I was obsessing over where, whether I'd read it in Drabblecast slush or on another podcast or what. I think I must've read it in Daily SF and forgotten that was where it was.

I've been studying this artwork, trying to figure out what the heck the story was about. Then I listened to the story, and Bravo! Great art.
Very good story, I really enjoyed it. It was over too quick (do we get to say that about women and aliens?), but still a great listen.
Congrats to all the winners of the People's Choice Awards. It is quite an honor.

Gosh, even aliens suffer angst over being judged about being socially awkward. Suddenly I feel at one with the universe. I liked it.

Short and cute. Kind of neat to have alien shapeshifters trying to impersonate teenage girls specifically, as teenagers are in a sense, shapeshifters trying to figure out who they are to some extent already.
As usual, love me some Norm intro and outros.
A Jetson Your Llama! I never said that it was a Mexican McDonalds!

Wow, this one only has 5 comments? I agree it was short but that's ok with me. I people expect heavier fare on the Drabblecast now. One of my all-time favorite stories is still Code Brown from back in the day.
Congrats to Eugie Foster on People's Choice Awards, well deserved. All the winners were I thought. This certainly isn't the Hugo Awards where every other year I'm thinking "Really?? that story won?"
