Is there a moral difference between squid sex and eating sushi?
It is because the world has neglected to address this question, and because you, the parents, are too embarrassed to have that "talk", that children must look to The Drabblecast for moral guidance.
And because we're talking Magnapinna, of course we speak of morality from the squid's point of view.
May I reintroduce evidence from a previous post by Cammo:

This is clearly evidence that squid do not discriminate when it comes to extra-phylial sexual orientation.
Unhappily, The Drabblecast has chosen to side-step the issue of extra-phylial marriage, which was, apparently, one tentacle too far for Mr. Tweedy. But I, for one, would like to see our next tee-shirt design feature the union in marriage between Magnapinna, man, and woman, with the caption, "Really Big Love: Enough arms to satisfy everyone."
Never judge anyone until you have biopsied their brain.
"Be kind, for everyone is fighting a hard battle."
