I was shot with the cure in the dark. Later, someone would tell me it was a Tuesday, but before the tranq dart I didn't know such a thing existed. It was either day or night, hungry or sated, alive or dead.

Then there was the cure and I was hauled to the Sanitation Center to be processed: our identities to be confirmed, and if forgotten, to be assigned a name, a registration number, date of birth, address.

I don't like Zombie Stories. Is that bad of me?

I just find that so many of them lack any spark. Almost as if they were written by a zombie.

Fortunately, this wasn't a Zombie Story. It was an EX-Zombie Story. :)

I really enjoyed the tipping of the tired, hackneyed old Zombie Trope onto its head, and the way the narrator couldn't decide if the people who had cured her had done her a favour or not.

And a great portrayal of alienation and the feeling of not belonging to one group or another. At 16 or 17 it's so easy to feel like nobody in the whole world knows what it's like to be you.

No point telling teenagers we all do though. They never believe it.

Loved the line about being so lonely that she almost attempted school. In my naivete I was so expecting suicide. Great writing.

I am also naive enough to not know how to accent an e on the iphone.

I do like zombie stories. Some of them. I liked this one very much, although I wasn't sure why this one in particular got an R from Norm.

I dug this one. I normally am not too big a fan of Zombie stories, but this one was very good and entertaining. I particularly enjoyed the ending as I couldn't tell what exactly was going to happen... it was a very lady and the tiger moment for me and I particularly enjoyed that feeling.

Also, I liked the drabble... for selfish reasons :P

Nope. They're overdone. Don't like 'em much myself.

Exact-ic-ally, and that's why this was awesome. Kind long, but great. Don't believe I've heard anything quite like it.

Although for all I know, this happens every week in "The Walking Dead" or some other zombie show. :)

Pretty good story. I saw the whole thing as an allegory for recovering from addiction. Heroin, specifically, popped to mind. It just ran right down the middle with the problems that abound with recovering addicts.
