Drabble Classics 28 - Happy Old Year.

I just listened to our January 14th instalment. What did listeners think of it? Did you sympathise with the protagonist?
Spoiler:
I had a really hard time sympathising with the protagonist. I would have pushed the guy off the ledge.

I don't have much sympathy for people who live in the past, especially those who make some bad decisions and then lament their current predicament. So yeah, I'm with ya Scuba.

When I was writing the post, I actually found myself looking at the story through Elsie's eyes.
Spoiler:
Like a cat pawing at a toy, she's so content to just f' with this guy until she gets bored I suppose. And it makes sense, it's prob what I would do if I were a genie/angel. No magic lesson to be learned to resolve the story—this is not A Christmas Story. This guy made his bad decisions, now he has to wallow in them. We all construct our own Hell I suppose.
