Nothing to fear but the loss of fear itself.

Post by dinosaurmonkey » Wed Oct 14, 2020 12:58 pm

Fear has been watered down. It has been bottled processed and served to the masses through entertainment medias. We start inoculating children to fear with heroic stories; as adults they'll retreat into the happily ignorant lands of self delusion and bravado. They have lit the world with electric fires to cast away the darkness of night. They have forgotten that fear is a survival instinct. They have forgotten the things they should fear. They have forgotten what is really hidden in the darkness. They have become soft, complacent, and weak. The ideal traits for any domesticated animal kept as livestock.

Yes, the great shepherd keeps sheep for a reason. I personally don’t think we taste all that good, but to each their own.

I like it.

Wasn’t mine, but I liked it too.

I’ve given up on drabbles since they take more time than twabbles... and I am probably the only one that enjoys my drabbles.

Oooh. I saw your name on it from the comments. Absolutely thought that one was yours. Regardless, the rest of my response still stands!

I enjoy your posts as well. I tried to write a drabble and twabble daily around the time of the restart... it’s a nice way to work out ideas but I get distracted pretty easily and soon lost track of whether a new day had occurred.

I thought about doing both. But I struggle with drabbles. I only have like 5 I've been able to clean up and make semi-coherent with the story having a good flow and not feel rushed.

I had HOPED I would be able to write a drabble. And then sum up that into just a twabble, Or vice versa. Maybe in three months, I will set my sights on a drabble marathon.

Like stage magicians, relying on distraction and misdirection...
The cattle shouldn't see what's in store from them until it's too late.
