Dead Gods

Post by dreamrock » Sat Jan 16, 2010 12:06 am

I love you. It's important you know that.

You've heard them say the gods died. It's true. Even Him. He didn't stop loving you because you're wicked or cruel or even because you love no one as well you love yourself.

It's sad, but it's the past.

You must live. You've figured out that there's no place for dead souls and the plane here is very crowded.

Why do I do this? We all need. You need love. I need to be needed by something greater than me.

I'm not a god. I can't save you. I can only help.

Wow, that was intense. I like the reference to planes instead of just clear cut Heaven/Hell. Nice job!

Thanks!

I'm not sure how I feel about it myself. I like my idea, but I'm not sure I care for the execution. Too much of a jump between paragraph four and paragraph five. Also, paragraph six feels kind of tacked on. I'm my worst critic ... in both ways. 1. I'm never happy with what I wrote, and 2. I never have any useful advice for myself.

That's ok. Letting us 'perfect' you is half the fun.
