Letting Go.

Post by LizPennies » Wed Jul 14, 2010 2:51 am

“So this is the afterlife?” He asked.

“Yup.”

“Huh.” He looked around. “What do you for fun here?”

“Mostly we just tell stories.”

“What kind of stories?”

“How we died. Things like that.”

“Ah.” He shuffled his feet. “So… how did you die?”

“Combat training.” He replied. “My commander told me, ‘Never throw your weapon.’ It’s best to hold on to it. Otherwise your enemy can get it and use it against you.”

“And you didn’t listen?”

“No, I listened.”

“Well, what happened then?”

“He forgot to say, ‘Unless it’s a grenade.’ You got to get rid of that shit.”

Hey, Liz. I'm planning on reading this for Dribblecast. Do you have a site you'd like to have me link to when I post it?

Also, when posting it to twitter, I try to @ the person who wrote the original where possible. Your profile shows a twitter link thingy, but I don't know if that's default or not. At any rate, if you have twitter, I can't find it. XD If you don't have one or don't want me to @ it, that's fine, just curious.

Thanks Dreamrock. Glad you like it and want to give it a read. My twitter name is KatArtrive. I don't really have a "site" so much as just a blog. But that is just http://lizpennies.blogspot.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; No need to link it if you don't feel it's a good fit to link. I'll leave that to your discretion.

Thank you all for the kind words. :)
