I just had a weird idea.
(You’ll all learn to dread that sentence… )

What if we wrote a DrabbleChain?
What if someone posted a kind of drabble-ish story of about hundred words, then leaned back, smiled because she saw it was good and waited if someone else wants to join in and pick up from there with a kind of drabble-ish continuation? And then the next? And the next?

Say this first someone was me. Say I posted something like… let's see...

They grabbed their bags and went to the cashpoint, chatting and giggling.
The waitress smiled at Maria.
"Fortune cookie?"
She took one out of the jar behind her and wanted to hand it over, but suddenly hesitated. Her smile vanished, and she turned pale.
Maria's eyes widened.
The waitress forced the smile back on her face, threw the cookie back and took another one out. She shoved it into Maria's hand while carefully avoiding her gaze.
Maria wanted to retreat, but the girl grabbed her arm and firmly closed Maria's hand over the cookie.
"You must take this", she whispered.

...Then I'd lean back and smile. And wait… 8)
Merrily walking on the weird side of life.

Generally that sort of thing happens organically around here, if at all.

Also, I, at least, am very firm on drabbles being complete stories in themselves...
