Poetry

Post by flyawaybefree » Fri Oct 08, 2010 2:34 pm

No one expects their life to come crashing to an end.

Not even me, even though I orchestrated it.

After the first few times dying, I decided to make each one a little more special, more exciting. I wouldn’t just crash the car into a wall, I would send it off an overpass in a magnificent dive into the river. I wouldn’t die with a heart attack, I would be gruesomely poisoned or stabbed or shot.

It was my form of art, a sort of poetry, I suppose.

Sadly, I don’t think that my unfortunate hosts enjoyed it as much.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
-Dr. Seuss

Good stuff! This one does what the best Drabbles do: its last line, whether you gasp or smile when you reach it, makes the story.
