Bones All the Way Down.

Post by CLP » Wed Sep 07, 2011 8:54 pm

The miners worked at a hurried pace, drilling away at the bone layers. The walls of the shaft showed brilliantly the evolution of human and animal. Every deeper layer, the bones larger.

They were 200 kilometrix deep with no sign of water, soil or anything but bones. If they didn’t strike useable organic material, life would sputter to an end.

A crack reverberated off the walls. The drill platform bucked and crashed through an eye socket ten men wide, swallowed by the darkness within. The worker’s screams merged with echo into a horrific noise that ended in a sickening crash.
