Little Sally (Zombies theme)

Post by apricity » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:07 am

No street cred whatsoever. Who was ever going to take her seriously? It was bad enough, being barely four feet tall and slight of frame. But blonde ringlets in pigtails, a pink dress with flounces and ruffles, and white patent leather shoes with big shiny buckles…it was just embarrassing. Sally looked down, dropped her thin shoulders, and lurched across the street toward the playground.

Then again, perhaps it wasn’t so bad, being the cute one. It certainly lulled people into a false sense of security, Sally thought, as she feasted on the fresh, bloody intestines of her first hapless victim.

Heh.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the cute-kid-out-of-place to be the most consistently creepy element in fiction. Like walking through a dark abandoned school and hearing a kid's laughter down the hall.

Aha! You're a teacher, aren't you?
