Poker Night

The halfling dealer peered across the table, seated on a drifting pile of coins. His second card had seen an armored warrior rise from the opposite end of the tavern and pledge his undying fealty.

The bard’s newly inhuman skill with his mandolin was only slightly marred by eyes gone vacant since his hand had been dealt.

The cleric had the personal favor of her goddess only to have it snatched away by her next draw.

The barman sighed. Acey-deucy with a Deck of Many Things was stupid to begin with, but playing with a Ruddian? That was just suicidal.
Go 'pods.
