A Lucrative Mistake

Post by DoctorBanzai » Sun Jun 02, 2013 2:23 pm

Upon first seeing the error on the door, Jake Cointreau was pretty pissed off. Who was going to hire someone who couldn’t even spell the name of his business right? He saw his profits dwindle to nothing in his mind’s eye.

The painter refused to help, stating that Jake had written it that way and too bad.

On Wednesday, his first client had slowly slipped in. She was confused, frightened, and not sure how to behave. Still, she hired him.

Her father had been taken, shanghaied into service, and she needed help.

Jake Cointreau – Pirate Investigator had his first case.

Point well made. One quibble. The last line punctuation.
I'd prefer "Jake Cointreau, Pirate Investigator".

With a name like Jake Cointreau, he should really consider just becoming a pirate, because that would be awesome!
