Now that I am past the big 50,I am always looking for opportunities to share knowledge with the younger generation, like when the 5 year old neighbor children asked me about the tomato cages in my garden I told them that I use them to hold the wild tomato's I catch at night. Of course they asked about 'wild' tomato's
So I explain that I like them better and that I don't cut off their legs or the fur until I take them out of the cage, then they look just like the ones their mommy buys at the store.

Ahahahaha! Yeah, my caged tomatoes do that too. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I hear the terrified screams of small children outside...

My five year old just asked if corn or peas are made out of animals. Guess I'll have to explain how tomatoes are different.

twisted, but made me smile. Going to tell that one to my kids (6, 2, and 2).
