Daniel was adding an appointment to his wall calendar when February twenty-eighth peeled away from the paper and drifted to his feet. He stared down at the errant square for a moment, but when he bent to pick it up, the entire page of February detached. March came next, its days scattering across the carpet. April, May, June, the summer and fall months, and all of winter collapsed to the floor and started blowing around in a nonexistent breeze, the paper pieces hopping over Daniel's back. And he’d just thought that its cover had been misprinted to read “Leapfrog Year”.
