Two or three times a year, the Secret Otchuk Society of middle Tennessee gets together for their dance celebration. Without fail, it’s always interrupted with ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks. In September 2011, a LifeFlight helicopter actually arrived. Inexplicably, the Coast Guard sent men to their little inland celebration back in April 1977. There were never emergencies to justify such reactions, though, and everyone was baffled by the repeated situations. It wasn’t until May 2013, when the Secret Otchuk Society got T-shirts and caps with their logo on them that the mystery was solved. Large were the letters S.O.S.
