Yeti in the freezer

Post by Wonko » Sun Jun 28, 2009 9:46 pm

So, I've been offline for a while, kinda' sorta' writing, but mostly doing "real life". which is where the inspiration for this drabble came from. I'll let you decide what that means about me.

John hated his job. He knew that he was lucky to have it, but working at a fast food place was not his idea of a lasting career. He was in the walk-in freezer getting some hamburgers when he first noticed the yeti.

Needless to say, he was a bit surprised; but he struck up a conversation with it anyway. It turned out that this yeti had been living in the freezer for quite a long time eating whatever it could find, most of which it didn’t like. The yeti preferred… fresher meat.

John smiled, and let the yeti out.

Top drabble, I like it.

It had a childlike quality (making friends with a monster that nobody else can see) with a pleasingly sinister finish.

BTW, I diagnose latent psycotic tendancies.

Depends on the chain. If this is the back of a Ponderosa/Sizzler/Denny's, I feel for the yeti. Otherwise he is a whiner, plain and simple. Press him in the McRib meat mold, see what he says tot hat.

Kidding aside, top notch drabble effort.
